Olympic Training Center Torch

• Torch & spiral staircase leading to the top of the torch, which is on top of the training center

The torch is lit during the summer and winter Olympics to symbolize solidarity of the athletes training currently with those that are competing in the Olympics. The stairs needed to be demolished and replaced with a new galvanized stair structure. Columns and beam support structures to hold the spiral staircase were hoisted from a parking structure below to not impact training at the time. The old stairs were hoisted out and new stairs were hoisted in 4 hours with no impact to tourists or athletes at the facility.

Steam on the Platte

A historical building just outside of Broncos stadium which dates back to the 1880s. The original facility was a 4-story factory made out of structural brick wall 3 feet thick at the base and tapering to 18 inches at the top. New structure was added custom fit to reinforce the existing structure; 4 new 4-story stairwells were installed with a modern industrial look of raw steel. Exterior bridges and wallways were installed over the water garden outside, all while maintaining the historical look and adding to the new modern office spaces.
